Severus Snape magic wand

It can be assumed that Severus Snape bought his wand from Mr Ollivander in Diagon Alley in 1971, before he started school at Hogwarts.

It is not known which wood the wand was made from, nor which wand core it had. Snape's wand was very simple, made of a very dark wood, with a clearly separated handle and a few decorations.

The story of "Severus Snape magic wand"

Severus Snape was a very talented student who was already fascinated by the dark arts during his school days. Very early on, Snape used his wand to create his own spells and curses, such as Sectumsempra, which was later used by Harry Potter against Draco Malfoy, as well as the matching healing spell.

He also created the Levicorpus spell, which makes the opponent float upside down in the air. However, in his fifth year at Hogwarts, he himself became a victim of this spell, performed by James Potter.

Snape was also very talented in other areas. For example, he used his wand very successfully to brew potions. Here, too, he did not follow the textbooks, but developed his own methods, which Harry Potter also followed later when he used Snape's old potions book.

As Snape was enthusiastic about the dark arts from an early age, it was not surprising that he joined Lord Voldemort's Death Eaters. He quickly rose through the ranks to join the Dark Lord's inner circle. However, when the latter tried to murder Harry Potter, Snape desperately turned to Dumbledore and asked him to protect his still great love, Lily Potter.

After her death, he finally changed sides and promised Dumbledore to protect Harry and to support him as a double agent in the fight against Voldemort, should he return. To this end, Dumbledore appointed him Potions teacher and Slytherin's tutor.

From then on, Snape mainly used his wand to brew potions. In Harry's second year at school, Professor Lockhart opened a duelling club. For a demonstration at the opening, he challenged Snape to a duel. Snape was able to disarm Lockhart with ease, which meant the end of the duel. Shortly afterwards, however, he had to draw his wand again to make a snake disappear, which Draco Malfoy had conjured up in his duel with Harry Potter.

A year later, Snape wanted to confront Sirius Black, who had escaped from Azkaban, but Harry, Ron and Hermione managed to disarm Snape. Professor Lupin subsequently used Snape's wand to turn Ron's rat Scabbers back into Peter Pettigrew.
