Hermione Granger received her wand from Mr Ollivander shortly before she went to Hogwarts. Her wand, made from the wood of a grapevine, has a core of dragon heart fibre and is 10 3/4 inches long.

Vine wands are among the rarer ones. Their owners are often those who seek a higher goal, who do not want to be ordinary and who often amaze those who know them best. Something that hardly applies to anyone as much as it does to Hermione.

Wands with a dragon heart core are capable of conjuring the most powerful spells. They are relatively easy to use for the dark arts.

According to the Celtic calendar, the wood of a grapevine suits those born between 2 and 29 September. Fitting, then, for Hermione's birthday on 19 September. In the Celtic tree calendar, the grapevine symbolises passionate emotions, whether positive or negative. Rowling chose the wood for Harry, Ron and Hermione's wands to create a secret connection between the trio.

The story of "Hermione Granger magic wand"

While travelling on the Hogwarts Express, Hermione used her wand to repair Harry's glasses. As the best student at her level, Hermione managed to learn difficult spells very early on. She managed to conjure a Patronus in the shape of an otter in her fifth year.

After the hippogriff Buckbeak was sentenced to death thanks to Draco Malfoy, she threatened him with her wand, but then preferred to use her fist.

Two years later, during the battle in the Department of Mysteries at the Ministry of Magic, Hermione used her wand in a duel against various Death Eaters. After Hermione was incapacitated by the Death Eater Antonin Dolohov, Neville Longbottom borrowed her wand as his own had broken in the fight.

Neville's broken nose made it difficult for him to conjure spells. When the Death Eater Walden Macnair got hold of Harry, Neville stabbed him in the eye with Hermione's wand through the mask and was thus able to free Harry.

In the summer of 1997, Hermione transformed herself into Harry Potter with the help of a Polyjuice Potion and fought alongside Kingsley on the back of a Thestral. The two were pursued by five Death Eaters, two of whom they injured and one of whom they possibly killed. They were also briefly pursued by Lord Voldemort before he chased the real Harry.

In December of the same year, Hermione defended Harry against an attack by Voldemort's snake Nagini. She was successful, but unfortunately Harry's wand broke in the process. As Harry's wand could not be repaired, the two of them shared Hermione's wand for some time.

When Harry, Ron and Hermione were captured and taken to the Malfoy estate, their wands were also taken from them. Hermione then used Bellatrix Lestrange's wand, which Harry grabbed during their escape from the Malfoy estate.

Hermione was reluctant to use this wand. For one thing, she hadn't won it in a duel, which made it more difficult to control, and for another, it was the wand that had previously killed Sirius Black and tortured the Longbottoms, among others. For lack of alternatives, however, she had no other choice for the time being.

Later, however, another problem arose. When Harry. Ron and Hermione broke into Gringotts, Hermione turned into Bellatrix Lestrange with the help of Polyjuice Potion. To identify her, the goblins wanted to see her wand before she was allowed to enter the Lestrange family dungeon.

As the real Bellatrix Lestrange had previously warned the goblins that her wand had been stolen, Harry had to use the Imperius Curse to ensure that Hermione was let in.

In the Battle of Hogwarts, Hermione finally fought alongside Ginny and Luna against Bellatrix Lestrange. Although she had to use Bellatrix's wand against her master, Hermione managed to keep up with her.

Unfortunately, it is not known what happened to Hermione's own wand after it was taken from her.

The staff of the Elbenwald shop

The replica offered by Elbenwald has a grapevine pattern, just like Hermione's wand from the third film onwards. In the first two films, her wand was still black with a light-coloured handle.

Like Luna's, Hermione's wand is one of the few wands that do not have a clearly recognisable handle. Of course, Hermione's wand is also originally licensed and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

The wand on offer is 37.5 cm long and therefore around 10 cm longer than described in the books, which is due to the fact that it is modelled on the one from the films. It is packaged in a gift box lined with green velvet.
