Albus Dumbledore magic wand

Not much is known about Albus Dumbledore's first wand. It can be assumed that he bought it from Gerbold Ollivander, the grandfather of Gerrick Ollivander, before he came to Hogwarts.

Albus was an outstanding student. Griselda Marchbanks, his transfiguration teacher, said of him that he could do things with his wand that she had never seen before.

After leaving school, Albus wanted to go travelling the world and do research. However, he was forced to look after his sister Ariana after she killed their mother during one of her seizures.

During this time, Albus met Gellert Grindelwald, who had been expelled from Durmstrang after experimenting with black magic there. The two were fascinated by the Deathly Hallows and wanted to search for them.

Grindelwald also dreamed of a new world order in which wizards would rule over Muggles and Albus was not overly averse to this either.

Albus' brother Aberforth, on the other hand, wanted him to stay there to look after Ariana. Furious about this, Grindelwald tormented him with the Cruciatus Curse, whereupon Albus defended his brother.

A fight ensued between the three wizards, during which a misdirected curse hit and killed Ariana. Nobody knew whose curse it was, but Albus blamed himself for the rest of his life.

Dumbledore later took up a position at Hogwarts as a teacher of transfiguration. He also taught Defence Against the Dark Arts for a time.

For a long time, Dumbledore refused to fight Grindelwald, who was gaining more and more power and followers of his ideology. It was not until 1945 that he confronted him.

He managed to defeat Grindelwald in a legendary duel. The fact that he managed to do this despite the fact that he was the master of the Elder Wand at the time shows just how powerful Dumbledore was and what he could achieve with his wand.

The story of "Albus Dumbledore magic wand"

Grindelwald was subsequently taken to Nurmengrad, a prison he had built himself. Dumbledore, on the other hand, now took possession of the Elder Wand, of which he was the rightful owner after defeating Grindelwald.

Dumbledore usually preferred to stay away from duels and fights, even if there was no one who could defeat him, especially after he obtained the Elder Wand.

Later, as Headmaster, he kept Nicholas Flamel's Philosopher's Stone at Hogwarts. To protect him, Dumbledore worked with various teachers to set up protective spells, such as a Devil's Snare with Professor Sprout or an enchanted chess set with Professor McGonagall.

In addition, Dumbledore then enchanted the mirror Nerhegeb so that it only revealed the Philosopher's Stone if someone wanted to find it but did not want to use it.

Dumbledore also conjured a powerful protection for the registration for the Triwizard Tournament to prevent minors from registering.

In order to later win over the giants for the fight against Voldemort, Dumbledore created a Gubraith fire with the Elder Wand. A fire that burns forever and never goes out. Even in the magical world, this is a rarity.

After Voldemort's return, however, Dumbledore was forced to duel again. He had to face the Dark Lord in the atrium of the Ministry of Magic in order to protect Harry from him. But even in this duel, Dumbledore never intended to kill or seriously injure Voldemort, although he was superior throughout the entire duel.

Dumbledore already suspected that Voldemort had created Horcruxes and set out in search of them. With the Gaunts' ring, Dumbledore was able to find one before he told Harry about it.

As Dumbledore could recognise the Resurrection Stone in the ring, he hastily put it on because he wanted to use it to speak to his dead sister and apologise to her.

However, Voldemort had cast dark spells on the ring so that Dumbledore's hand was badly injured. Snape was able to contain the injury, but not heal it.

Knowing that he did not have long to live, he asked Snape to kill him when the time was right.

Before that, Dumbledore set off with Harry in search of another Horcrux. They were supposed to find it in a cave in the sea, but when they managed to get hold of it, they were attacked by Voldemort's Inferi army.

Harry was no match for this alone, so Dumbledore was able to create a huge firestorm with the Elder Wand just in time to drive it away.

Back at Hogwarts, Dumbledore was already awaited by Draco Malfoy, who had been ordered by Voldemort to kill him. Dumbledore, who knew that he didn't have long to live, made it easy for him and let Malfoy disarm him.

This switched the loyalty of the Elder Wand to Draco. However, he did not have the heart to kill Dumbledore. As previously discussed, Snape came to his aid and murdered Dumbledore with the Death Curse.
